Extreme bag makeover / Relooking extreme de sac

Once upon a time there was a bland beige bag hanging amongst hundreds of other bags in a large clothing store from a Swedish chain.

Il était une fois un petit sac beige des plus ennuyeux qui attendait son heure au milieu d'une centaine d'autres sacs dans un coin d'un magasin de vêtements d’une chaine suédoise.

Some masking tape, neon spray paint, and let the magic happen!

Highlighter / Surligneur

I am not a fan of beige, I disappear in it like Casper the friendly ghost. But with an interesting texture and at 1 euro a meter (found here), I was ready to forgo this rule but needed to figure out a way to liven up the blandness.
Je ne suis pas une grande fan de beige, je disparais dedans comme Casper le gentil fantôme. Mais avec une texture légère et intéressante et à 1 euro le mètre (trouvé ici), j'étais prête à contredire ce principe mais devais trouver un moyen de rendre ce beige beaucoup plus palpitant.
I used a favorite the "Lesson 4" from the Japanese book of patterns "Favorite Fabric and Clothes". See the previous version of this pattern in grey with a silver piping.
J'ai utilisé une valeur sûre  la "Lesson 4"  du livre de patrons japonais "Favorite Fabric and Clothes". Voici la précédente version "hiver" en gris avec du passepoil argenté.

How to attact attention? Use a highlighter, or more like yellow neon piping in this case to highlight the neckline.
Comme attirer l'attention? Avec un surligneur fluo, ou plutôt un passepoil jaune fluo pour surligner le col.

Unintentional look-alike / Copie fortuite

I have an insane amount of jewelry findings (admitting is the beginning of the path to recovery?!) gathered during my trips to the US at my favorite haunts & more recently at my new favorite bead store in Paris, Perlerie 22.
J'ai une quantité déraisonnable de fournitures pour créer des bijoux (admettre le problème est déjà un pas vers la guérison?!) glanées lors de mes voyages aux US chez mes "dealers" préférés & plus récemment dans mon nouveau magasin de perles favorit à Paris, Perlerie 22.

They could be related to these earrings. I did not purposely create a look-alike, but once done they did seem oddly familiar and indeed I found the sister earrings on the Gas website.
Il y a comme un petit air de famille avec ces boucles d'oreilles. Je n'étais pas partie pour faire un sosie, mais une fois terminée elles m'ont parue familières et effectivement j'ai trouvé cette paire similaire sur le site Gas.

Summer trousers in wax / Pantalon d'été en wax

The sun is shining in Brittany: Pogo the frustrated city hunting dog is chasing lights & mojitos are made (and consumed) at a fast pace.
Le soleil brille en Bretagne: Pogo le chien de chasse contrarié des villes chasse les ombres et les lumières & de nombreux mojitos sont faits et aussitôt consommés.

I finally found at the local fabric store the perfect wax (African fabric) to make some light summer trousers.They are perfect to sip a mojito in the sun!
J'ai enfin trouvé au magasin de tissus local du wax (tissu africain) pour faire un pantalon léger d'été. Ils sont parfaits pour siroter un mojito au soleil!

Kokeshi / Kokeshi

I am encouraging the creativity gene with the nieces & nephews. Violette was willing to put up with this as long as the result was pink & girly. I think we succeeded with the kokeshi necklace.
J'essaye d'encourager la créativité des nièces & neveux. Violette était OK du moment que le résultat fût rose & fifile. Mission accomplie avec le collier kokeshi.
Apparently the adorable kokeshi replaced the russian doll as the new "it" wooden doll. She was everywhere to be seen during the afternoon shopping.
Apparemment la coquette kokeshi est top tendance dans les magasins de déco des zones commerciales (j'avoue je suis allée à Fly!). Elle a supplanté la poupée russe pour devenir la nouvelle "it" poupée en bois.

Auntie has no willpower, especially for anything to decorate a room to exactly match a necklace!
Tata ne peux pas résister... surtout quand il s'agit d'une top déco qui va trop trop bien avec un collier!
