Little Black Dress / Petite Robe Noire

A little black dress for big events, based on the super simple pattern #1 of the "Otona No Couture" book of Japanese patterns. The only true challenge was the layering of the 2 fabrics & the finishing of the edges of the lace (a very small & precise zig zag)

Une petite robe noire pour des grande occasions, dans le patron #1 simplissime du "Otona No Couture". Seule vraie difficulté la superposition des couches de tissus & la finition des bords de la dentelle très fragile (zig zag minuscule & très précis).

Mme Leblanc approuverait-elle?! (OK référence un peu obscure pour les non-anglophones qui n'auraient pas vu la film "Clue" basé sur le jeu Cluedo)

I was watching opening credits for a James Bond when I chose this fabric, this will explain the kaleidoscopic/hypnotic quality of the fabric!
Modified pattern based on pattern #5 of the "Otona No Couture" book. I removed the sleeves & lengthened the pattern to make a dress.
The fabric is slightly stretchy which make this dress comfortable, but next time I will make a wider skirt.
